Chemical Safety
The Chemical Safety Program promotes the recognition, evaluation and control of workplace chemical hazards, as well as the safe handling, storage and disposal of chemicals that is compliant with regulations and recognized best practices. Through this program employees receive information, advice, guidance and chemical safety training.
Our services include:
- Laboratory chemical safety training [including WHMIS]
- Laboratory inspection
- Fume hood safety testing
- Consultation regarding response to accidents involving hazardous materials
- Risk assessment
- Assistance in the development of safe work procedures
- Exposure evaluation services
- Respiratory protection training and consultation
