Occupational First Aid Training
Occupational First Aid Level 1 (OFA 1) Training is coordinated through Risk Management Services and conducted by certified instructors from St. John’s Ambulance.
The course is offered monthly to faculty, staff, students and community. It equips participants with the skills to provide immediate care for minor injuries or provide aid for the few minutes it might take for the local First Aid service to arrive.
The course fee is $110 and is payable to the University of British Columbia by cheque, cash, credit card or journal voucher. Cancellations or date changes must be made at least 48 hours prior to the course date.

Wear comfortable clothing as you will be on the floor for the CPR section of the course.
WCB requires that course participants present two pieces of identification:
- one must be a picture ID (such as as Canadian driver's license, student or staff ID, passport, etc.);
- the other must be a signature ID with your name (such as credit card, vehicle registration, social insurance number card, BC Care Card, etc.).
